As the recipient of the Barrett Reid Scholarship from State Library Victoria and the Library Board of Victoria, I was able to travel to the United States in 2018 and visit libraries that were already using design thinking in interesting ways.
I travelled up the West Coast learning about applications of design thinking to libraries. This scholarship was the starting point of a longer journey where, in 2023, I obtained my MBA with a minor in design thinking.
